I had heard many things about Suisse – as the locals call it – prior to visiting it for the first time. Below are some fun facts about Switzerland that I learnt:
Chocolate. Happy cows give good milk. Good milk produces good chocolate, the best chocolate. Hmmm, like LINDT, TOBLERONE, SUCHARD, NESTLE, FREY.
Watches. Good expensive watches. Best watches in the world. ROLEX, PATEK PHILIPPE, GIRARD – PERREGAUX, BAUME MERCIER, LONGINES, TISSOT, OMEGA, VICTORINOX, TAG HEURER, EBEL.
Mountains. Beautiful scenery, some of the best skiing in the world.
Nature. Lakes. Many lakes. Lakes means tourism opportunities. Priceless fresh breathable air.
Expensive. Remember the watches I was telling you about? And transportation.
Quiet. Reduced population. Mostly Swiss individuals. Less stress. Less pollution.
Not as exciting as a busy crowded city. I will admit to that. Not everyone could live there.
However… it’s a BETTER LIFE. PERIOD. It may not be everyone’s dream place, but it’s definitely a good place to live and most of all, to raise your kids. Guaranteed. Even the NY giraffe decided to take residence in Switzerland. He loves it so far. This is her view from her bedroom window.
As for Swiss Air…best airline I’ve flown in a while. Better food, lots of chocolate, fresh croissants for breakfast, prosecco if you may, actually any drink you may think of, countless albums to listen from, movies, hand lotions in the bathroom and a contagious elegance. Stewards speak like 4 languages. Which is nice if you speak them as well, which I learnt I do.
You can even charge your ipod/iphone/itouch/shuffle, which I was very happy to discover.
