Small Girls PR, Mallory and Bianca, invited me last weekend for the Madison Maxey trunk show. Given it was a sunny Sunday afternoon, I could not think of a better way to spend my time than shopping, sipping champagne and trying on blazers in Soho.
Hosted in the chic Ruia boutique, the affair was nothing less than a fun fashionista get-together.
Launched in December 2011 by former college roomates Madison Maxey and Tessa Lewis, the Madison Maxey blazers are like none other I have seen before. My favorite was the bright yellow blazer, that perfectly complemented my outfit.
All blazers are made of cotton stretch twill, out of natural fibers that are not only better for the body, but also wrinkle resistant. The collars are made out of recycled fabric from New York designers, and the lining is 100% satin silk, thus creating blazers of undeniable quality, as comfortable and lush as it gets. Individually made by the finest tailors in Shanghai, the blazers are meant to be unique. The How-To section of the website explains how each customer can custom design their personal garment, before hitting the check out button.
The sponsor of the blogger event – Jewel Mint – led to my possession of these stunning black raven earrings. I rarely shop online, because I can never predict how a product will really look; these earrings, however, beautifully presented in an elegant black box, proved to be the exception to the rule – looking even better than I expected.
Thank you Small Girls PR and Madison Maxey for a wonderful afternoon.
