How to Grab a Great Deal on Tenerife Holidays

One week into the second Polar Vortex this month alone and record freezing temperatures, and I am ready to escape for sunnier, warmer lands. As I plan to spend more time in Europe this upcoming spring and summer, my mind can’t help dreaming of beautiful getaways such as Tenerife. Spain has been my favorite European country since I can remember, and Canary Islands are my next stop off my Spaniard bucket list.

Tenerife is said to be the “island of the eternal spring.” A land rich with countless beaches, the impressive Teide Vulcano and picturesque villages, there is a great deal to be explored.

If you’re searching for a great deal on Tenerife holidays, as I am, you’ll be pleased to know that there are several different ways to find a great value escape that won’t break the bank.

Here are some tips I’ve found to be useful:

If you’ve got package holidays in mind, late deals are a great way to bring the cost down. Try searching for holidays departing within the next few weeks, usually 4 – 6 weeks, as this is often when the costs come down in order to try and sell off the last few holidays.

Another way to book a low-cost package break is to book early, as far in advance as possible, as this is often when tour operators will offer special discounts – plus you’ll have the added benefit of extra time to plan and save for your trip.

The great thing about package holidays is of course, the inclusive nature of these breaks. Not only do you stand to save money by booking late, but you’ll typically get all the essentials including return flights, nightly accommodation, transport to your hotel and even the support of a locally-based holiday rep.

Tour operators that offer package breaks will usually promote them with all sorts of special deals too, such as free child places, cut-rate upgrades, access to local attractions and of course, financial discounts.

Of course package breaks aren’t the be-all-and-end-all of Tenerife trips, and you can also go your own way.

By booking your own choice of flights and hotel, you can enjoy the utmost flexibility and often save money by going direct, therefore cutting out the middle agent. You’ll find plenty of 2014 deals for Tenerife hotels online right now, so start looking and get ready to snap up a cracking deal in one of the hundreds of superb hotels across Tenerife.

So, what are you waiting for? Escape the cold for a well-deserved, sunny holiday!
