I am not far from the recent graduate age category, however I wish I could turn back the time to when I was applying for universities in the States. I would definitely do things differently; I would consider Harvard, Georgetown or Princeton University, for the quality of education and college life, as well as the investment it garners. The exponentially enriching college experience, lived in a charming college town, with activities and clubs so diverse and stimulating, would make anyone desire to study there.
This weekend I felt the need to escape the noisy New York City, for some much needed nature therapy. Howell Living Farm was the first stop, after which I spent a few hours with my family, walking around Princeton.
What I most enjoyed while strolling through Princeton, and implicitly through the Princeton University campus, was the stunning English architecture, the peacefulness of the grounds and the overall atmosphere.
I could see myself blend in, explore my creativity to its full capacity and abound with inspiration. It’s hard to believe some of those 18 year olds’ dorms very much resemble English castles and Gothic churches.
The Princeton University campus certainly reminded me of the Harvard campus.
At the eastern end of the campus is the Princeton Boathouse, also known as the Shea Rowing Center, at the edge of Lake Carnegie. It very much reminded me of Charles River in Harvard, serving the same purpose. It was unbelievably beautiful and peaceful.
