There’s no question about it; I am happiest when I’m on vacation by the water. The serenity that floods my body and mind at the sight and sound of the waves is pure bliss; it calms me and fills me with endless energy. And whenever I go to a new beach – whether it be by the ocean, the exotic Caribbean or closer to home by the Mediterranean coast – I am always searching for the perfect summer dress.
Regardless of the occasion or event, whether I’m traveling or roaming the streets of New York, I always choose comfort over style. However, when Jia Collection approached me to see their latest collection, I knew the Abbee dress would be my go-to dress for my summer travels. Boasting not two but four purposes – as a reversible dress offering both comfort and style – I was instantly hooked.
Not only is it on-trend and undeniably chic, but it’s incredibly comfortable. Easy to fold and slide in any carry-on, this travel friendly knit dress is a slim fit outfit that can be worn from day to night. I put on Abbee’s white side during the day, to inaugurate the arrival of summer in New York City.
I went sailing on Yacht Justine and spent a lovely day on board, where the Abbee dress and the striped navy boat’s décor were seemingly meant to go together.
With a glass of bubbly in hand and sweeping New York views all around, I relaxed on the upstairs deck as well as lounged on the tanning bed. Feeling like a fish in the sea, I achieved a sophisticated summer look, yet remained comfortable throughout the day.
By the end of the day, the boat stopped by Lincoln Harbor, the perfect spot to gaze at the Manhattan skyline.
I then changed onto the navy side, a better fit for a night out on the town. I wore it the following week at Gogobot’s Jetsetter Kickoff Benefitting Charity: Water.
